Christian Thomas Descoteaux  - Owner~Designer~Contractor

Christian is a third-generation woodworker, native Rhode Islander.  At twelve he began working alongside his father restoring historic New England homes, and quickly discovered a passion for preserving and repurposing antique materials. Today, he makes handcrafted furniture, and furnishings from reclaimed, antique, and industrial materials. His work displays a dedication to details.  The unique qualities of the wood and metal are carefully revealed through the informed use of high quality finishes.  He loves to learn and experiment with new materials and techniques. He strives for clean innovative designs. His sourcing explorations take him into old barns and farmsteads, historic estates, warehouses and industrial sites across the Northeast.

Huetran (Hue)  Duong  - Chief of Operations~Marketing

Hue has always loved and appreciated  the  art and science behind ingenuity and artistry from one's imagination.   She has  over ten years of experience in Sales and Marketing.  She develops, manages, and executes operational strategies that will faciliate and sustained, continued growth.  She is also responsible for the development, support, and management of key innovative marketing initiatives.  Since this has been a small team of two, additionally she helps with maintainence of the workshop, and the set up/operations at events.  She believes and is thrilled by the growth  and expansion at Christian Thomas Designs.   Eager in anticipation of what Christian's and clients' imaginatiion will create  next.

 

Ellie -Work Shop & Adventure Pup~ Marketing Assistant

Ellie spends most of her time in the workshop with Christian.  She loves to go on search and gather trips with Hue & Christian.  And although she's shy with people, just have a treat handy and she'll show you her best T-Rex dog trick! You'll just have to stop by and see for yourself.
