Alex joins us from the East Bay Met School. The Met is a network of six small, public high schools located in Providence and Newport, Rhode Island. The Met Schools are a career and technical school whose curriculum is based on Real World Learning. Which means getting out in the community and meeting individuals with various jobs, volunteering or interning in different business and non-profit organizations, and students participate in project based learning. Alex is a senior, who is hoping to go directly to the work force after graduation, so for his personal, individualized learning plan, he is working in his career of interest.
